Moly Plate is a sheet-shaped product manufactured primarily from high-purity molybdenum powder through processes such as powder metallurgy, rolling, and annealing. It maintains structural stability and mechanical properties under extremely high-temperature conditions and is widely used in various fields, including aerospace (e.g., rocket engine components), electronics (e.g., heat dissipation elements, electrodes), mechanical manufacturing (e.g., high-strength moulds), chemical engineering (e.g., corrosion-resistant equipment), and the nuclear industry.

Characteristics

Excellent high-temperature performance

Molybdenum has a melting point of up to 2620°C. It is a refractory metal that can maintain stable mechanical properties and structural integrity in extremely high temperature environments and will not easily soften or deform.

Excellent electrical and thermal conductivity

Molybdenum has good thermal conductivity and electrical conductivity, and performs well in some scenarios that need to meet both heat dissipation and electrical conductivity requirements. It can effectively transfer heat and current to ensure the normal operation of the device.

Process

The powder metallurgy process is used for production. First, the molybdenum powder is pressed into a plate shape by isostatic pressing technology, and then sintered at high temperature to make a molybdenum slab. The molybdenum slab is then further processed using a cross-rolling technique (alternating cold and hot rolling) and suitable annealing temperature control. It should be noted that there is no need for repeated heating during the rolling process, and the processing speed is fast, which can make the internal grain structure evenly distributed, thereby improving the surface roughness of the moly plate and reducing the appearance of surface defects. Finally, surface treatment and repackaging are carried out according to actual needs, which can be divided into chemical cleaning, mirror polishing, black oxidation, or sintered surface, and other types.
