Cobalt Chrome Alloy Round Bar (cobalt-chromium-molybdenum) is a cobalt-based alloy, also known as a kind of Stellite alloy. It is a cobalt-based alloy that is resistant to wear and corrosion. The early cobalt-based alloys were cobalt-chromium binary alloys, and later developed into ternary cobalt-chromium-tungsten alloys, and later developed into cobalt-chromium-molybdenum alloys. Cobalt-chromium-molybdenum with cobalt as the main component and a small amount of nickel, carbon and other alloying elements, occasionally also containing iron, are the main components of cobalt-chromium-molybdenum alloys. According to the components in the alloy, it can be made into welding wire, hard surface surfacing, thermal spraying, spray welding and other processes, and can also be made into castings and forgings, powder metallurgy parts.
Cobalt Chrome Alloy Round Bar are the two basic elements of cobalt-based alloys, while the addition of molybdenum can obtain finer grains and higher strength after casting or forging. Cobalt-chromium-molybdenum alloys are basically divided into two categories: CoCrMo alloys and CoNiCrMo alloys;
1. One is CoCrMo alloy, which is usually a cast product. After the development of deformed cobalt-chromium-molybdenum alloy products, the improvement of the process has greatly improved the comprehensive mechanical properties of the material;
2. The other type is CoNiCrMo alloy, which is usually precision machined by (hot) forging. Cast CoCrMo alloys have been used in dentistry for decades and are currently used to make artificial joints, and forged CoNiCrMo alloys are used to make heavy-duty joints such as knees and hips.

Cobalt Chrome Alloy Round Bar have excellent resistance to friction, cavitation, mortar abrasion and thermal wear. The alloy also has good corrosion properties. Even at a hot red temperature of 480°C, it still has quite good hardness, strength and wear resistance.
