1. Vacuum Deposition
- Within a vacuum environment, an electric current passes through a tungsten boat for evaporation, heating it to below 2000°C. This process heats and evaporates low-melting-point metals (such as aluminium, gold, or silver) placed within a recess. The resulting metal vapour condenses onto the substrate surface, forming a uniform thin film.
- Tungsten boats are employed for display coatings, reflective layers on precision optical lenses, ultra-wear-resistant decorative films on ornaments, vacuum-deposited packaging materials, and metallisation coatings for capacitors.
2. High-Temperature Processing

- Folded Type: Manufactured by bending tungsten sheets, providing flexible structures that can rapidly adapt to specialised dimensional requirements.
- Welded/Riveted Type: Constructed by assembling multiple tungsten sheets through welding or riveting, enabling complex shapes but involving higher process costs.
