AMS 4901 Titanium Sheet
Overview
AMS 4901 Titanium Sheet is an industrial pure titanium product, usually Titanium CP1 Grade 4. Its chemical composition is Ti balanced, C content up to 0.08%, Fe content up to 0.50%, N content up to 0.05%, O content up to 0.40%, H content up to 0.015%. Because of its high strength-to-weight ratio and good corrosion resistance, it is often used in aerospace, medical and industrial fields, such as cryogenic containers, medical dental equipment, food processing equipment, hydrometallurgical equipment, and aviation parts.
Characteristics
- High strength and lightweight: The strength of titanium is about 30% higher than that of ordinary steel, but its density is only about half of that of ordinary steel, giving it excellent lightweight characteristics.
- Excellent corrosion resistance: Titanium can resist the erosion of acids, bases, salts, and other media, especially in oxidizing environments. The compact oxide film formed on its surface can effectively protect titanium from corrosion by these media.

Processing
