Description:Molybdenum is a grey refractory metal similar in many respects to tungsten, with only slightly lower hardness, melting and boiling points than tungsten. Molybdenum is often present in minerals in various oxidation states and readily forms hard and stable carbides, but does not occur naturally as a free metal.
