Molybdenum Plates are plates made of metal molybdenum or moly alloy through rolling and other processes. Characteristics
Outstanding high-temperature resistance
It has a high melting point and a low thermal expansion coefficient. It can maintain stable mechanical properties in high-temperature environments, reduce structural stress caused by temperature changes, and is suitable for use in extreme scenarios such as high-temperature furnaces and aerospace engines.
Excellent electrical and thermal conductivity
Mo is a medium thermal conductive metal. Although its thermal conductivity is not as good as that of good conductors such as copper and aluminum, its comprehensive advantages in performance stability (little change in resistance and thermal conductivity) and mechanical strength (anti-deformation) far exceed those of other metals in high temperature environments (above 600°C).
High Strength
At room temperature, mo has good corrosion resistance to air, water, and most acids and alkalis (except strong oxidizing acids); although it is easily oxidized at high temperatures, this can be effectively improved by surface coating (such as silicide).
Professional
High strength, high hardness, good wear resistance. At room temperature, the strength and hardness of mo are higher than those of aluminum and copper, and the high-temperature strength decays slowly. It can withstand a certain load and has low maintenance costs.

1. Metallurgy and materials processing
- Key components of high-temperature furnaces: as heating elements, furnace linings, brackets or trays of vacuum furnaces and inert gas protection furnaces, Molybdenum Plates can withstand high temperatures of 1600-2000℃ and are often used for smelting of refractory metals (such as tungsten and tantalum), sintering of ceramics and growth of single crystal materials (such as sapphire and silicon crystals).
- Thermal spraying targets: Moly plates are melted and deposited on the metal surface by plasma spraying to form high-temperature and wear-resistant coatings (such as engine blade protective layers).
2. Electronics and semiconductor industries
- Vacuum electronic devices: as anode targets of X-ray tubes, grids, and cathode supports of microwave tubes, they use their stable conductivity and arc ablation resistance at high temperatures to ensure that the devices can work for a long time at high power.
- Semiconductor manufacturing: in chip lithography and ion implantation equipment, as electrodes, heat-conducting substrates, or shielding components, their low expansion coefficient can reduce thermal stress matching problems with materials such as silicon and ceramics.

Process
①Prepare high-purity molybdenum powder and press it into billets by cold isostatic pressing (CIP) or use electron beam melting or vacuum arc melting to directly melt the mo ingot into billets.
②If you want to process it into thin plates (thickness 0.1mm-10mm), you can use hot rolling-annealing-cold rolling to repeatedly roll the ingot.
③Obtain specific shapes (such as round and special-shaped parts) through laser cutting and electrospark machining (avoid stress cracking caused by mechanical cutting).
④Surface treatment: polishing (to improve surface finish), coating (such as nickel plating, which can enhance oxidation resistance or conductivity).
⑤Comprehensive quality inspection, such as mechanical properties, appearance inspection, dimensional accuracy, etc., after completion, use foam and wooden box packaging for delivery.
