Characteristics

• The density is typically between 16.5g/cm³-18.75 g/cm³, which is much higher than traditional metal materials, allowing it to provide more weight in limited spaces, especially suitable for scenarios requiring compact counterweights.
• The melting point is the highest among all metals, and it can still maintain stable physical form and mechanical properties in high-temperature environments, and is not easy to melt and deform.
• By adding nickel, iron, and other elements, the tensile strength can reach 900-1100 MPa, with excellent wear and impact resistance, long service life, and low maintenance costs.
• It has good chemical stability, natural resistance to corrosive media such as acids, alkalis, and salt spray, and exhibits corrosion resistance close to that of precious metals in seawater environments.
• It has strong processing performance and can carry out a variety of conventional machining such as turning, milling, grinding, drilling, and wire cutting, and the surface roughness can reach 1μm-2μm, which is suitable for precision applications.

Process

• Select high-purity tungsten powder, combined with nickel/iron/copper powder, mix it evenly, remove impurities, and prevent pores after sintering.
• The pretreated tungsten-based powder is made into round billets, which are generally formed by powder metallurgy, and can also be forged and rolled.
• The formed billet is sintered at high temperature to allow the powder particles to fuse and crystallise to form a dense tungsten-based billet.
• The sintered and levelled tungsten billet is roughed (such as turning and grinding) to remove excess material and process it to a size close to the finished product.
• Finishing is carried out using high-precision CNC equipment, dimensional tolerance and flatness are controlled, and the surface roughness is Ra≤0.8μm.
• Surface treatment is carried out according to the needs of different application scenarios, such as ultrasonic cleaning, coating treatment, anti-oxidation treatment, etc.
• Full testing and packaging, such as dimensional accuracy, performance testing, component analysis, visual inspection, etc., can only be shipped after qualification.
