The difference between seamless pipe and welded pipe

Manufacturing process	It is usually manufactured by perforation rolling and other processes. After multiple rolling and drawing processes, the pipe diameter is gradually reduced and the dimensional accuracy and surface quality of the pipe are improved. There is no weld in the pipe during the whole process.	The titanium plate or strip is rolled and then connected together at the interface through a welding process to form a pipe. After welding, the weld needs to be processed to ensure the quality and performance of the weld.
Performance characteristics	The structure is uniform, the mechanical properties are good, and it can withstand high pressure, high temperature and complex stress. Its inner and outer surfaces are smooth, without weld defects, and it is particularly excellent in corrosion resistance, and can resist the erosion of various corrosive media.	The structure and properties of the weld may be different from those of the parent material, and the mechanical properties are slightly lower than those of seamless titanium tubes. Special attention should be paid to welding quality and anti-corrosion treatment to prevent corrosion problems at the weld.
Application Scenario	It is often used in places with high requirements on pipe performance, such as aerospace, petrochemical, marine engineering, and other fields. For example, the fuel pipeline of aircraft engines, the high-pressure reactor pipeline in petrochemicals, etc.	It is suitable for some occasions where the performance requirements of the pipe are not extremely stringent. In the chemical industry, it can be used for the transportation of some media with relatively low corrosiveness, pressure, and temperature. Welded titanium pipes can also meet the use requirements and reduce costs.
