Description:
Niobium is a silver-grey, ductile, rare, high-melting-point metal.Niobium sheet is made of metal niobium after various processing. The main process is: electron beam smelting niobium ingot - room temperature forging - rough machining - cold rolling - heat treatment (annealing treatment is required after each pressurization) .Niobium sheets are a relatively common form of niobium products. The surface is often polished and mirror-finished. It contains almost all the advantages of niobium, such as high plasticity, good toughness, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, wear resistance and superconductivity. Niobium sheets can be pressed into niobium cups and niobium crucibles for the manufacture of synthetic diamond or high pressure sodium lamps.
Application:
Metal niobium is often used as an alloying agent. For example, we can add 0.1% niobium to steel to improve the strength and stability of steel, and apply it in the automotive and petrochemical industries; 6.5% niobium can be combined with nickel, iron and cobalt to made of superalloys, often used in the aerospace industry.Due to their unique superconductivity, niobium sheets can be used as key components in magnetic resonance imaging equipment in the medical industry. In addition, niobium sheets can also be used in lighting, gemstone manufacturing, optics, metallurgy, chemical and electric light sources and other industries.
