Material processing

Characteristics

Application
- Aerospace: Pt Ir Wire is used as a thermocouple wire for measuring high-temperature gas in the engine combustion chamber. It is resistant to oxidation and has better signal stability than pure platinum.
- Medical and bioengineering: It is used as an electrode wire for implantable medical devices, such as pacemakers and cochlear implants, and can maintain low impedance and long-term stability in the complex electrolyte environment in the body. The high hardness and flexibility of platinum iridium wire can also be used to make microsurgical sutures for nerve or vascular anastomosis surgery.
