Stellite 6B UNS R30016 cobalt base alloy
Stellite 6B is a cobalt-based alloy for use in abrasive environments, anti-seize, anti-wear, anti-friction. UNS R30016 Stellite™ 6B can offer superior wear resistance and the mechanical properties needed to withstand the toughest of applications. Stellite™6B meets the requirements of Aerospace Material. Wrought stelite 6B offers the ductility, fatigue resistance and toughness of a hot worked microstructure, with the heat corrosion and wear resistance of cobalt based alloy.
Stellite 6B alloy has a very low coefficient of friction and can slide against other metals without causing wear in most cases.
The wear resistance of the alloy is inherent and does not rely on cold working or heat treatment, so it can also reduce the workload of heat treatment and the cost of subsequent processing.
Application
Stellite 6B material can be used to manufacture valve parts, pump plungers, steam engine anti-corrosion covers, high temperature bearings, valve stems, food processing equipment, needle valves, hot extrusion dies, forming abrasives, etc.
