Description:Copper tungsten alloy is a pseudo-alloy of copper-tungsten, which is a metal matrix composite material rather than a real alloy in terms of microstructure. Tungsten copper electrodes are a kind of composite material made by the process of static pressing, high temperature sintering, and smelting refined copper, which makes good use of the plasticity and high conductivity of high-purity tungsten metal powder and high-purity copper powder.This material combines the properties of both metals to produce a material that is heat and ablation resistant, thermally conductive, highly conductive, has a pore-free structure, and is easy to process.Copper tungsten electrodes have the advantages of high density, high hardness, wear resistance, high temperature non-softening, good processing performance, fast EDM, good arc breaking performance, excellent high temperature stability, and long service life. Tungsten copper electrodes are mainly divided into resistance welding electrodes, spark electrodes and high voltage discharge tube electrodes.

Application:Tungsten copper electrodes are widely used in petroleum and natural gas, engine, electric power, electronics, metallurgy, aerospace and other industries, and are often used in electrical discharge machining(EDM) and electrochemical machining(ECM). For example, copper tungsten electrodes enable cross welding of large diameter wires and rods, suitable for high-speed, automated welding operations (such as high-speed wire harness spot welding in the motor and automotive industries), and also for spot welding of low-conductivity ferrous metals (such as stainless steel), also as a heat sink for cooling elements of electronic equipment. Compared with ordinary electrodes, tungsten copper electrodes have fast corrosion rate, low loss rate, precise electrode shape, and excellent processing performance, which greatly improves the accuracy of processed parts.
