Stellite 6B Rod
Overview
Stellite 6B Rod is a high-performance alloy bar composed of cobalt alloy, such as chromium, tungsten, and carbon. A forging process (hot forging followed by multiple deformation passes) refines the grain size and increases material density, resulting in excellent wear resistance, high-temperature resistance, and corrosion resistance, while maintaining a certain degree of toughness. It is widely used in applications requiring extreme adaptability to operating conditions, such as oil drilling (drill pipe joints), aerospace (high-temperature bearings), medical (artificial joints), and chemical (corrosion-resistant valve stems). It is a key structural component material that replaces common alloys and meets the needs of high-end applications. Alloy 6B Characteristics
Exceptional wear resistance
High hardness, wear rate is only 1/8 of 304 stainless steel, 2/3 of tungsten carbide coating. Highly resistant to abrasive wear, adhesive wear, and fretting wear, the lifespan is several times that of ordinary materials.

Outstanding high-temperature performance
It can maintain high hardness and strength even at extremely high temperatures (up to 900-1000°C) and recover its original hardness after cooling. It is widely used in high-temperature processing and aerospace fields.

Outstanding corrosion resistance
Chromium and molybdenum elements can effectively prevent the penetration of corrosive media and withstand long-term erosion by strong acids and alkalis. It can also effectively resist cavitation damage and particle erosion in high-speed fluid environments.
