Iridium is a very common platinum group metal. It is also the most common hardener in platinum alloys. It is used in the manufacture of crucible, special vessels, and other high temperature resistant instruments. Iridium Metal Sheet is manufactured mainly by the powder metallurgy process, and can be produced in different sizes and different surface states (polished, polished or sintered) according to actual needs. Iridium Metal Sheets are suitable for application in high temperature furnace industry, chemical industry, thermocouple equipment, superconductivity industry, food processing industry, metallurgical processing industry and medical radiation field.
Features of Iridium Metal Sheets:
1. The use temperature can reach 2100-2200℃, high shear modulus, good ductility, high tensile strength
2. Very good heat resistance or high temperature resistance, even in the temperature of up to 2000°C can maintain good mechanical properties
3. Excellent corrosion resistance (does not react with any acid, can only be invaded by some molten salts)
4. Iridium itself is difficult to process and expensive, but it is economical and very durable
