Hastelloy C276 Bar Description & Application
Hastelloy C276 is a nickel molybdenum chromium superalloy with enhanced resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. Because of the high content of chromium and molybdenum, the alloy is particularly excellent in corrosion resistance in oxidizing and reducing media. Moreover, the addition of tungsten can further expand the range of corrosion-resistant media. The presence of a small amount of carbon maintains corrosion resistance during welding. Hastelloy C276 Bar is mainly rolled in high temperature environment and has stronger deformation resistance than ordinary stainless steel bar. Hastelloy C276 Bars have a wide range of applications, mainly in shipbuilding, construction, engine chemical treatment, pulp and paper, industrial waste treatment, petrochemical and recovery of sour natural gas, etc.
