Material selection and processing
We use high-purity zirconium materials through high-temperature melting (arc melting/induction furnace melting/electron beam melting), forging, repeated rolling, cold drawing, heat treatment, machining (turning or grinding), surface treatment (pickling and polishing), and finally a comprehensive quality inspection.
Characteristics
Good mechanical and processing properties
It has high strength, good plasticity, fatigue resistance and vibration resistance, and can be made into complex-shaped components through forging, rolling, cutting and other processes.
Excellent corrosion resistance
Zirconium exhibits extremely strong corrosion resistance in a variety of corrosive media (such as hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acid, organic acids, and seawater), which is better than stainless steel and titanium alloys.
Stable high-temperature performance
It has a high melting point, is resistant to oxidation, has a low coefficient of thermal expansion (about 5.8×10⁻⁶/℃), and has good dimensional stability when the temperature changes drastically.
Excellent nuclear performance
Zirconium has extremely weak absorption capacity for thermal neutrons and can still maintain good mechanical properties and chemical stability in a strong radiation environment.
