Tungsten Rhenium Alloy
Tungsten Rhenium Alloy
Fanmetal supply the Tungsten Rhenium Alloy for thermocouple used as high temperature structural material Model: W-3Re/W-25Re, W-5Re/W-20Re, W-5Re/W-26Re, W/W-26Re, Thickness 0.3mm, 0.5mm , 1.0mm, 2.0mmetc.
Tungsten Rhenium Alloy Description:
Tungsten rhenium alloy has a series of excellent properties, such as high melting point, high strength, high hardness, high plasticity, high recrystallization temperature, high resistivity, high thermoelectric potential value, low vapor pressure.
Tungsten rhenium alloys are generally produced by powder metallurgy. The shapes of the tungsten rhenium alloys are mainly rods, plates, wires, and squares.
Tungsten Rhenium Alloy Applicable conditions: Due to the excellent high temperature strength and high temperature plasticity of W-Re alloy, various structural parts, heaters and special-shaped parts made of W-Re alloy are widely used in aerospace, atomic energy, ultra-high temperature alloy, semiconductor magnetron sputtering, high temperature heat field and other industrial fields.
Tungsten rhenium alloy sheet can be used as a material for special parts such as structural parts, superalloys, magnetron sputtering targets and high-temperature thermal fields.

Because rhenium has very excellent properties in the following table, adding rhenium into tungsten to form tungsten rhenium alloy, and adding rhenium into molybdenum to form molybdenum rhenium alloy, the electrical properties, high temperature ductility and processability of the alloy can be greatly improved and strengthened, which can be widely used in high temperature heating body, temperature thermocouple, cathode of electronic tube and other high temperature parts. We can make all kinds of tungsten rhenium / molybdenum rhenium alloy products according to customer's requirements, which can be in the form of wire, rod, sheet, plate or other special-shaped parts.

Applicable process:
Oxyacetylene Tungsten Inert Arc (TIG)
Standard length of continuous cast solid rod is 1 meter (36" in North America). (Other lengths are also available.)
Stellite alloy electrodes have excellent corrosion resistance, impact resistance, oxidation resistance, and wear resistance between metal adhesion in the temperature range below 800 degrees. The surfacing layer can be processed.
Cobalt alloys are currently the most widely used wear-resistant surfacing materials. Its unique combination of wear resistance, strength and corrosion resistance makes it suitable for many harsh environments. Cobalt alloys were chosen because of their excellent wear resistance, allowing for a broad combination of wear types, including adhesive wear, abrasion, erosion, contact fatigue, thermal shock, cavitation wear, corrosion and oxidation.
Stellite 21 is a corrosion-resistant CoCr alloy and one of the first heat-resistant alloys used in jet engines.
Features of Stellite 21 electrode,
1. High hardness and hot hardness
2. high tensile strength
3. Anti-oxidation, corrosion resistance, particle wear resistance
4. Thermal fatigue resistance
5. High temperature strength
6. Impact resistance
7. Excellent solderability
Cobalt alloy electrodes are supplied in the following forms:
As-cast: Meets most surfacing requirements.
1.Densification: Hip to eliminate centerline porosity.
Ground/Polish: Eliminate surface imperfections.

This cobalt-chromium-nickel alloy has high strength, ductility, good mechanical properties, and is age-hardenable. Stellite alloys have a higher melting point than nickel (or iron) alloys, which enables them to absorb stress at higher absolute temperatures. In many environments high corrosion resistance, low relaxation temperatures up to 380°C (715°F) and thermal fatigue properties and weldability are required.
Cobalt-based alloy rods are considered the industry standard for general-purpose wear-resistant applications, exhibiting excellent resistance to many forms of mechanical and chemical degradation over a wide temperature range and maintaining reasonable hardness at 500°C (930°F) level. It also has good impact resistance and resistance to cavitation erosion.
We melt high-quality cobalt-based alloy round bars in vacuum and induction furnaces.
We can cast and machine hard cobalt-based alloy round bars according to drawings. Helping you choose the best cobalt-based alloy grade for your specific working conditions.
Cobalt-based alloys have been used to produce various components such as blades or combustion chambers. The material can be implemented as forged or precision cast parts or centrifugally cast parts.
