Material selection and processing

High-purity tungsten carbide (WC) powder and cobalt (Co) powder, typically with an 8% cobalt content, are chosen as raw materials. These materials are mixed, ball-milled, shaped, and sintered at high temperatures. They are then ground and surface-polished. Before packaging and shipment, all products undergo appearance inspection, dimensional accuracy testing, hardness testing, and other quality control measures.

Characteristics

• Good toughness, but still brittle material, needs to avoid severe vibration.
• High temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, and oxidation resistance.

Application

YG8 Carbide Ball has the characteristics of high hardness, good wear resistance, and moderate strength, so it is widely used in many fields such as mechanical processing, petrochemical, aerospace, medical equipment, etc.

1. It can be used to make the tip or head material of cutting tools to process cast iron, non-ferrous metal, and their alloys, especially suitable for intermittent cutting or occasions with high wear resistance requirements.
2. It can be used as wear-resistant parts such as ball valve balls, bearing balls, sandblasting machine nozzles, etc., in chemical equipment, and replace steel balls in high wear environments to extend service life.
3. It is used to manufacture drill bits for oil drilling equipment, such as ball bearings for roller bits. It can not only withstand high pressure, high temperature, and high friction during drilling, but also increase the service life of the drill bit.
4. It is used as a sealing ball for valves to control the flow and pressure of oil and chemical fluids and prevent fluid leakage.
5. It is used for precision bearings and measuring components in aviation instruments, such as gyroscopes, accelerometers, etc.
6. This material is suitable for joint heads in replacement surgery. Its excellent wear resistance and biocompatibility help minimize joint wear, aiding patient recovery and enhancing.
