Tungsten welding electrodes are high-quality TIG welding accessories, which are suitable for almost all AC welding jobs. The common ones are thoriated tungsten electrodes, lanthanum tungsten electrodes and cerium tungsten electrodes. Thoriated Tungsten Electrode, containing at least 97.30% Tungsten and 1.70-2.20% Thorium, is the most commonly used electrode today and is favored for its long life and ease of use. Compared with pure tungsten electrodes, Thoriated Tungsten Electrode has greater current carrying capacity, easier arc start, improved electron emission quality of the electrode, more stable welding process, longer service life and higher anti-pollution level. Thoriated Tungsten Electrode is especially suitable for direct current welding of stainless steel, carbon, nickel alloy and titanium. It has good performance in almost all TIG welding processes and is not easy to be replaced. Especially in the welding engineering of aerospace industry, military industry and nuclear industry, it occupies an important position, and it can work stably even in the high current range.
